Nimbus
From Wagnerpedia
Nimbus is the Wagner College literary and visual arts magazine. Published bi-annually, Nimbus accepts works from all facets of the Wagner community, including faculty, students, staff, and alumni. Nimbus prides itself on its deep-rooting in the Wagner community, having in past years provided both a magazine, as well as cultural events such as Nimbus Out Loud, Poetry Slams, and even putting staff members into contention for Homecoming Court.
Nimbus began in the fall of 1947, as a small publication of poetry, and has since expanded into a bound book, published professionally and destributed throughout campus, and considered to be one of the better amateur literary magazines in colleges across the country. Nimbus stands out from many other college literary magazines in that it does not ask the community to purchase the magazine in order to reach publication costs, on top of what is given by the administration, though has in recent issues placed paid advertisements in order to bring about color covers and better quality paper and binding.
Submissions of visual art, poetry, short stories, memoirs, etc. can be sent to Nimbus directly by emailing Nimbus@wagner.edu. You can also contact that email address for information regarding meeting times if you are interested in joining the staff. Whether you are interested in Business, Marketing, English, or whatever, Nimbus has a place for you. It is truly a diverse gruop of students who participate in making Nimbus a success from year to year.
