Scope: Research on Social Cognition and Self-Regulation: focuses on modeling and observational learning, metacognitive and self-regulatory processes, self-judgements and self-efficacy beliefs, student motivation, and sociocultural influences on academic achievement.

Coursework: Quantitative Statistics and Methods, General Linear Modeling, Psychometrics, Cognition, Language and Communication, Instructional Issues, Motivation, Metacognition and Self-Regulation.

Interests: Multimedia Learning Theory, Affect and Cognition, Cognitive load.

Research: Direct measurement of cognitive load in a multimedia learning environment.

Independent Study Topic: Wagnerpedia. The study of triadic reciprocality (Bandura) and the creation of content within a campus-wide wiki.

ITP Certificate Program, Graduate Center, City University of New York

Scope: Theoretical, historical, philosophical, and sociological perspectives on technology and pedagogy and their intersection in the classroom. The program will provide students with the criticval skills to reflect on and then design and implement IT tools for use in teaching, primarily at the college level.
