Cunard Hall was built circa 1851 by Sir. Edward Cunard as a summer residence and named "Bellevue" for its views of New York Bay and the Narrows.

When the College relocated to Staten Island, this building was the primary academic building: students lived there and classes were held there. The enclosed porch housed the dining room.

By the 1950's, it held several academic departments including psychology and education. It may have housed the first psychology laboratory at Wagner.

Currently, the building houses the Registrar's and Business Offices as well as several classrooms. The Wag is located in the basement.
